Christmas Layout - #219

Hello everyone,

The new Challenge at Scrapping4funChallenge is live.

The Theme is Christmas.

I have created an A4 Scrapbooking layout for Milo's first Christmas with us.

I have placed a picture of Milo on the layout but will put a photo after Christmas on this Layout.

I decided to create A4 Layouts for Milo's Scrapbooking album. It is easier to store in a Folder and the plastic sheets are easy to find than the normal 30,5 x 30,5cm albums.

Hi everyone,

Here is my October "mmmalteredcardplay" creation.

The October card.

Theme: Whimsical

Technique: Splatter paint or ink

Add-Ons: Add magazine or book image + Add product packaging

Extra Credit: Add an insect

For my Whimsical picture, I used a picture of a 3D "Motiv Bogenblock" book. I used Dylusions in a spray for the ink splatter.

I used Product packaging from Rayher and Fancy Pants for the background of my page and the card.

Winter layout #218

September - mmmalteredcardplay - Messy

Hi everyone,

Here is my September mmmalteredcardplay creation.

The September card.

Theme: Messy

Technique: Scribble

Add-Ons: Add numbers and Add a Sticker

Extra Credit: Add Fabric

For the background, I used Distress Paint - Picket fence, and the colors are from Distress Mica spray - Brushed pewter and Mister Huey's Spray - Buttercup.

The numbers are a stencil - "Number Jumble" I do not know who the brand is. 

The Hippy Chic is a Stencil from Andy Skinner - Decoart. I placed the stencil over the black card stock and scribbled it with Uni Posca pens over the stencil.

The background paper is from my stash and the fabric I received as a gift.

The mirror sticker is from Stick Mania.

August - mmmalteredcardplay - Childhood

 Hello everyone,

I really loved creating this page for my mmmalteredcardplay creation.

Here's the list:

My sister and I:

As a teenager, my sister and I  collect postcards with cute pictures on the postcards. The picture was mostly from teenage funky girls. 

I do not have any of my postcards anymore due to moving overseas and my sister past away so I can't ask her if she had any left. 

Born and raised in:

South Africa 

My mother and us:

My mom sewed all our dresses and this picture of my sister and I is one of several dresses my mom made us. My sister's dresses were always blue and my dresses were pink or both yellow or a lovely green. 

Our family:

My father played several musical instruments and had a lovely voice when he sang. My mom and sister played piano. I did learn to play piano but I stop playing when I was a bit older. I love to sing. 😜

Digital Scrapbook Layouts

 Hello everyone,

I have started to create some Digital Scrapbook Layouts. I love that you can buy these papers on Etsy and choose what you want to use.
Some of the "real" Scrapbooking papers are so expensive that you always have trouble finding them.

I will still create with my "real" Scrapbooking papers, but I love these cute digital papers and you can use them repeatedly.

Here are some of the layouts I have created. The three Layouts with Milo and then two Layouts with my Grandchildren.

Digital Scrapbook Layouts

Autumn Layout #217

Hello everyone,

the new Challenge on the Scrapping4funChallenges blog is live.

The theme is Autumn. You can join us here!

It has been a long time since I create Scrapbooking layouts. I started with A4 layouts for my Shih Tzu. It is easier to file in A4 plastic sleeves and in a normal folder. In a few days, I am starting with my daughter and Son-in-Law's wedding album. I received the beautiful pictures and can not wait to start.

I am still very dizzy from my ear and jaw infection but started to feel better day by day.

All the products are listed below. The picture of Milo was taken end of February 2022 when he was 3 months old. Our autumn just started and we do not have a lot of leaves yet. I place a photo on the Layout but will change it a bit later.

Autumn Layout #217

Alphabet letter - W - #216

 Hello everyone,

the theme for the new  Scrapping4funChallenges Challenge is the Alphabet letter - W.

Our Daughter and Son-in-Law's wedding was on the 11th of June 2022. We flew to South Africa for the wedding and spend some time with family and friends. The wedding was a whole weekend getaway.

The Venue was beautiful and the food was so good! The Friday evening we have a barbeque (braaivleis) the Saturday with the wedding we had breakfast and lunch. The food in the evening was really good and the pudding was yummy! The wedding was at 15h00, our daughter had a stunning dress and she looked beautiful. It was a beautiful wedding with yummy food and friends and family. 

I have created this wedding album for the mother of the groom. I couldn't find the white album from 49 and Market and used the black one.

Alphabet letter - W - #216

Food for my Spirit - Green

 Hello everyone,

We have a Facebook group for Scrapping4funChallenges.
We have a Challenge each month with a “Color with a twist”.

I decided to use Index cards and use up things in my stash.

I am going to place Bible verses on the back of the card.

All the cards will be placed in a box, where I can take one out and read a card for the day.

Color with a twist.
The August challenge is - Use All shades of green.
The twist is to use washi tape.

I enjoyed creating the card and creating another one.
