Whooo-hooo I won my first price

Post from my All my craft Creations blog post.
17 February 2011

Whoo-hoo I have won the Revolution 12 with the Let's Scrap Blog Hop Challenge.
I really can't believe that I won. The challenge was that you used eyelids in your layout or card.
Boy oh boy, how I hate to work with eyelids. I think we all have somewhere eyelids that we forgotten about. Mine was so old I had to dust them off before I could use them. LOL.....

This is the single layout that I have made for the Blog Hop. Oh, and when I scrap I always do double layouts. So this was actually a double challenge for me. Working with eyelids after years and doing single layouts.

I made this layout and thought I enjoyed the Blog Hop but I am so glad I would not have to work with eyelids again. Yey, right, and there I won this challenge. So I feel good because this was really a big challenge for me and the eyelids. LOL.... don't know who has the biggest shock, I to do the challenge with the eyelids or the poor eyelids that was been used after years laying in their box. Shame, poor things.

Thanks again Debby, I am looking forward to receiving my gift.

Hugs
Happy Crafting!!

Here is this week's Let's Scrap Sketch. 2-2-11

This is my Layout

My brother and my sister-in-law's family on Holiday Des 2010.

Happy Crafting!!

Resolutions of the Blog Hop

Resolution#1 - Betty Anne

I have already made Resolution#1 but I understood the Challenge wrong. So this is my second layout of Resolution#1. The Challenge was to...Pick a favorite layout in the Let's Scrap Photo Gallery and scrap lift it. Make sure to tell us, why it's a favorite, what you scrap lifted from it, and give a link to that layout. Note: you have to use the same sketch as the one you scrap lifted from.
I picked this Layout because of all the layers. I love to work with a lot of layers and sometimes bright colors. The layout is from Scarlett Salamone and her link is: http://letsscrap.ning.com/photo/furever-friends/prev?context=user

Trash to Treasure Challenge. Use a leftover item from everyday life (non scrapbooking supply) and a Let's Scrap sketch to make a one or two-page layout.

Last week I have been with my friend for her 50th Birthday. We all had a lovely day around the table with our cups of tea and mmmmmm..... cake and tart. I kept this LO for last because of all the photos and I used the teabag tag for my "leftover".

This is my double Layout of the Let's Scrap sketch 1-12-11

Whooo - oooooo I am finished with the Resolution Layouts. That was so much fun doing it.

I decided to make a card.

Using a Let's Scrap sketch make a card or layout with eyelets on it.
Oh, and I don't like working with eyelets so much.....

I am so glad for Facebook it makes it easy for us that live so far away. There I can get all the photos of my brother and the family. They were in Des 2010 in Kwazulu Natal, South Africa for the Holidays. I have beautiful photos of the little ones on the beach playing in the sand. When I am finished with the Resolution I am going to start Scrapping to beach photos.

We have to use a black and white photo, blue and yellow embellishments, and a Let's Scrap sketch to create a layout.

This photo is of my husband and his sister. I'm not sure about the year but I think it was 1967.

This is my single Layout from Let's Scrap sketch 4-14-10

Resolution#9 - Mandy

Laughter is the Best Medicine. The challenge was to scrap something that makes you smile or laugh and make sure to add some journalling so that you can look at this year from now and reminisce what was making you smile or crack up.

When my daughter was a little girl she always sat moving her feet and hands endlessly. Now after about 20 years she is a good dancer. Must be all the exercises of turning her little feet and hands. LOL...

This is my single Layout from the Let's Scrap sketch 12-29-10

Resolution#13 - Dawn

We must make a Layout with a Let's Scrap sketch, using Cardstock only (no patterned paper allowed)
I made this layout of my sister-in-law's son Marcel. They took this photo in 2009 when they were in Cape Town.

Pick a favorite layout in the Let's Scrap Photo Gallery and Scraplift it. Make sure to tell why it's a favorite, what you scrap lifted from it.

I scrap lifted this sketch LS131 on December 23 from Let's Scrap because of the Christmas tree. I just love Christmas trees with a lot of snow on them. I placed one of the Christmas trees that we took on a Christmas market in December 2010.

This is my single Layout.

This is my double layout

Resolution #2 - Kristin
This is a beautiful color challenge, I love the colors. We must use at least 3 colors on our layouts and one of the Let's Scrap sketches.
Here is my Layout from Let's Scrap sketch Is117.

I normally do double Layouts so here is my double layout. The second page is a Let's Scrap sketch Challenge5

Resolution #3 - Beth

Use at least 3 different patterned papers and some stitching. It can be hand sewing, machine stitching, or "pen stitching".
I used hand sewing on the name and the date.
This is my single Layout from Let's Scrap sketch Is106

Use a Let's Scrap sketch to create a scrapbook layout or card that contains a list. Any type of list will do!

I made this layout of my daughter and her friend. Still waiting for the photo so I will place this layout again when the Layout is ready with the photo. I made my list with the words. "He loves me, he loves me not". Can you remember the days that we pull of all the petals on the flowers with the words "he loves me, he loves me not"?

This is my single layout from Let's Scrap sketch LS130 December 9

My double layout also from LS130 December 9

Make a layout or card using a Let's Scrap sketch and you can't open any new packs of ANYTHING when making it. This was a challenge for me. I have this paper for years but every time when I looked at the paper I thought, what will I do with this paper. Well, this is what I did. Whooo-hoo...this paper is gone now. LOL.....
This is my single layout from Let's Scrap sketch nsd5

Resolution #6 - Roulien

Use Let's Scrap sketch 1-20-10 and create a card or layout for or about Valentine's day.
I made this layout of my brother's two little children. Adriani the little girl was born last year and I saw them now a year ago. I can't wait when my brother placed some photos on Facebook so that I can see them. They are so sweet.
This is my single layout from Let's Scrap sketch 1-20-10

Resolution #7 - Kristie

Banner Challenge - Use one of the sketches from Let's Scrap and use a banner somewhere on the layout. I love cows and when I saw this baby grow I bought them for my brother's little boy. This is when Ignus was a baby.
This is my single layout from Let's Scrap sketch 10-13-10.

Friends Birthday Card

Happy Birthday!!!!

I was invited to my friend Réne's 50th birthday party on Thursday. That was a beautiful day and it started to snow again. My husband and I went with Réne and her husband away for the weekend.
That was a lovely weekend but really cold.

She loves the colors white, red and black.

I created this card for her birthday.

Season of White

Hello everyone,

Oh boy, the weather is so confusing. We have had soo much snow in Nov-Des 2010 and now in Jan 2011 when it's typically the time for lots of snow and icy cold, all the snow has melted and only the Alps are still white.

I made a winter wreath, for my front door as it looks so empty after the beautiful Christmas Wreath. Soooooo.....what is better than a snazzy winter mitten wreath?

I also made two winter cards, normally I do not make so many. There are so many blogs that do cards and some cards are beautiful.

I prefer scrapbooking and other crafts. BUT I received some cute stamps and cannot wait to start with them. So maybe the bug has bitten me and I will start making more cards.

Here are my Mitten wreath and two cards.
